Deaf or Hard of Hearing Guests

Universal Orlando offers captioning features, assistive listening devices, guidebooks for guests with disabilities, and attractions scripts at select attractions and shows throughout the parks.

In addition, for Guests who are deaf or hard of hearing, American Sign Language interpreting services may be requested at no charge for select in-park live action shows in Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands of Adventure.

Queue monitors with open captions are available at select attractions. Guest can check ride warning signs for availability, see an Attractions Attendant or view the Universal Orlando Resort Guide for Rider Safety and Accessibility.

Guests should email requests with a minimum of 14 days advance notice to SignLanguageServices@universalorlando.com as they plan for their upcoming visit to Universal Orlando.

Large print and Braille scripts outlining the dialogue for select in-park live shows are also available for loan at the venues themselves in Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, as well as the following locations:

Many attractions can accommodate a guest with a white cane or provide a basket or receptacle in which to place the cane in the ride vehicle. The cane may need to be collapsed on some attractions. On those attractions where the cane may become lost due to ride forces and present a potential hazard to other guests, the Attraction Attendant will hold the white cane for the guest once the guest is seated. The Attendant will have the white cane available as soon as the attraction vehicle is stopped in the unload area.
