Wheelchair & Accessibility

Shopping & Dining Accessibility

Universal Orlando's shopping and dining facilities are wheelchair accessible. Also, our outdoor stage shows have areas reserved for guests with disabilities. These areas are clearly marked with the International Symbol of Accessibility.

Queue & Attraction Accessibility

All queues are accessible to guests using wheelchairs (Pteranodon Flyers at Universal Islands of Adventure. is an exception). Each attraction has specific boarding requirements and accommodations for those using wheelchairs at each attraction. In all cases, if a guest is capable of transferring to the ride vehicle's seating by themselves or with the help of another person in their party, they may transfer.

Wheelchairs & ECVs on Rides

Certain attractions are capable of allowing guests to remain in their standard wheelchair throughout. For a list of all attractions and their specific requirements and accommodations, please consult Universal Orlando's Riders Guide for Rider Safety and Accessibility.

Due to their dramatic motion, none of the ride vehicles at Universal Orlando will accommodate Electric Convenience Vehicles (ECVs) or electric wheelchairs (with the exception of Hogwarts™ Express). At those rides which can accommodate standard wheelchairs, guests may transfer from their ECV or electric wheelchair into a standard wheelchair, which can be provided at each location.

Volcano Bay

Wheelchair accessibility is available at Maku and Puihi Round Raft Rides as well as Krakatau Aqua Coaster by use of an elevator . Guests may also transfer from their wheelchair to Kopiko Wai Winding River, TeAwa Fearless River, Puka Uli Leisure Pool, The Reef Leisure Pool, and Waturi Beach Wave Pool. Guests will need to be able to independently position themselves in the proper riding position and exit the pools by their selves or with the help of a member of their party.
