Universal Studios Goes Green!

Universal Studios Hollywood is leading the charge in eco-friendly theme parks. In 2022, they introduced the first of their all-electric trams for the iconic Studio Tour. By early 2025, the entire fleet of 21 trams will be electric, significantly reducing carbon emissions and creating a quieter, more enjoyable experience for guests.

On July 15, 1964, USH introduced the first incarnation of the Studio Tour, THE "Glamor Tram”, which cost $2.50 to ride. The tour included a boxed lunch and the vehicles used to transport Guests were called Glamour Trams.

Over 200 million Guests have experienced the Studio Tour at USH since it opened back in 1964.

Driven daily, each tram could drive over 16,000 miles each year!

There have been over 30 unique attractions, effects, and live elements featured on the Studio Tour over the years!

Flash Flood premiered on the Studio Tour in 1968.

The Earthquake: The Big One attraction simulates an 8.3 earthquake on the Richter Scale!

The King Kong animatronic in the original attraction was 30 feet tall and over 13,000 pounds!

Video co-host Jimmy Fallon debuted on the Studio Tour in 2011.

The shark in the Jaws attraction on the Studio Tour is 25 feet long!
