Universal Kids Resort: Where Kids Become Part of Their Favorite Stories
Universal Destinations & Experiences, a division of Comcast NBCUniversal, has officially introduced Universal Kids Resort, the company's first-ever theme park designed specifically for families with young children. Located in Frisco, Texas, the resort will feature immersive themed lands, family-friendly attractions, interactive shows, unique merchandise, fun food and beverage venues, and character meet and greets.
The resort will also include a 300-room themed hotel, giving families a place to stay and play after their day of adventure.
"Universal Kids Resort will inspire the unbridled creativity of kids through imagination, discovery and most importantly – play," said Molly Murphy, President, Universal Creative. "We're designing the resort so kids and families can feel the thrill of being physically immersed in their most beloved stories and characters."
Set in lush green landscape with a distinctive look, feel, and scale specifically for younger kids, the park will deliver the quality the Universal brand is known for worldwide.
Additional Details
Universal Kids Resort will occupy roughly a third of the 97 acres of land that Universal owns for the resort area. This is approximately a quarter of the size of one of Universal's parks in Orlando.
The remaining acreage will be used for a hotel, parking areas, and a thoughtful exit and entrance plan with room for possible expansion.
Universal Kids Resort will appeal to families with young kids, ages 3-10.
The park will primarily operate between 10am – 6pm on weekdays.
