Calling all explorers! The new Adventureland Treehouse, inspired by Walt Disney's Swiss Family Robinson, will open at Disneyland Resort on November 10, 2023! This exciting new attraction will invite guests to climb into the treetops high above Adventureland and explore the home of a family who has created an oasis among the trees, inspired by nature and using objects found around them.
New Storyline Details
While the new Adventureland Treehouse is inspired by the original treehouse attraction, it will feature a fresh story for the next generation of park goers to experience and enjoy. The story follows a family who has shipwrecked on a remote island and must use their ingenuity and teamwork to build a new home for themselves.
Rooms in the Treehouse
As guests explore the treehouse, they will encounter a variety of rooms that reflect the different interests and talents of the family members. These rooms include:
The mother's music den, where she plays musical instruments to fill the home with cheerful melodies.
The sons' nature room, which is packed with an impossibly large collection of plants and animals, all living in harmony with one another.
The daughter's astronomer's loft, which is nestled in the highest part of the home and provides a clear view of the night sky.
The father's art studio, which is filled with gadgets, appliances, and devices of his own invention.
Waterwheel and Pulley System
Adjacent to the stairwell is the home's iconic waterwheel, which is powered by a small brook that babbles nearby. The family has created a pulley system to deliver water from the stream high up into the tree, generating the energy needed to activate many of their gadgets and inventions.
New Piece of Artwork
Disney has released a new piece of artwork for the Adventureland Treehouse that depicts the daughter's bedroom. The artwork is done in the daughter's own abstract style and shows her love of celestial bodies and their magnitudes, motions, and magic.
