A proposal is simply a summary of what you plan to present during the PASL conference. Not everyone who gets to submit a proposal will get to present, especially if there are many students submitting proposals. Proposals go through an approval process and the PASL committee (made up of OSE students and professional staff) will reach out to let you know if your session has been approved and to guide you through the process of turning your proposal into a session! That being said, proposals do not need to include your final presentation, it can be an outline of what you plan on discussing during your session.
Presenting is GREAT for increasing your communication skills, adds to your resume, and shares a cool topic with peers who are also interested (there will be a few sessions happening at the same time, so people who attend your session really want to be there!).

Where is the PASL agenda?
The PASL agenda is created by the PASL planning committee and released near the date of the conference. You will know the session choices at that time. Watch for a link here when it is available!
Is attending PASL mandatory?
Yes! Reach out to Jen (rude0044@umn.edu) as soon as possible if you will be unable to attend. She will work with you to discuss other options.
