If the situation does not require immediate attention, please choose one or more of the following:
Walk the student through ways to make an appointment with Boynton Health Service, Student Counseling Services, or CLA's Wellness Liaison John Edmonds (email edmon027@umn.edu).
In a crisis situation, ProStaff and your TL may not see your Slack/email message in a timely manner. It is important to act based on what you think is best. If you are able to reach a TL or ProStaff member, you can disregard this step. If not, when you have taken care of the student, then:
Detail what happened, student name, and email (attach reflection if that is what caused the concern)
Go over the action steps you took, the outcome (if any) and the necessary follow-up (if any)
It is also important to breathe and take care of YOU during these times. Please check in with your TL when you feel comfortable to go over how you are feeling about the situation.
For urgent situations, please never hesitate to text or call Jen at any time. If you are texting, please state who you are and that you are a SL with the FYE.
