Welcome to this Outcome Area Page where you can get a summary of the outcome area and link to best practices associated with the outcome area.

Summary

The Organizational Leadership Outcome Area is focused on the people, plans, and practices that are the foundation of growing as a green school. The first two best practices, "0.1 Green Team" and "0.2 GreenStep School Resolution" are required to become a Step 1 School or District to initially join the program since they lay the foundation for moving forward on all other best practices. Best Practices "0.3 Widespread Communication" and "0.4 Equity and Diversity" are about fostering the community culture around growing green schools by engaging families and neighbors and being intentionally inclusive in how green school development progresses and who is involved. Best Practice "0.5 Green School Strategic Plan" encourages long range planning and partnering to achieve aspirational goals. Best Practices "0.6 Community Leadership" and "0.7 Advanced Recognition" encourage schools to give back lessons learned beyond their borders, or achieve advanced recognition to become models for other schools.
