Yewon Kang (강예원) is a first-year (soon to be second-year) PhD student in Psychological Foundations of Education in the Department of Educational Psychology. She obtained her bachelor's and master's degrees in Education at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea. She also holds an elementary teaching certificate. Her research interests revolve around the topic of learning, currently exploring the dynamics of information spreads on social media. Additionally, she is interested in understanding the differences in cognitive processes involved in learning between younger and older adults.

With prior experience in supporting exchange students in South Korea, she is excited to continue her work empowering the international community at CEHD. Collaborating with her fellow students, she aims to foster an environment that promotes personal and academic growth for all students.
