Washington Galvão is a second-year Ph.D. student in Comparative and International Development Education in the Department of Organizational Leadership, Policy, and Development (OLPD). Originally from Vitória - Brazil, where he obtained his undergraduate degree in Social Sciences (Anthropology, Political Sciences, and Sociology), focusing on teaching and Indigenous education. Washington is interested in comparing cross-nationally educational systems and education for minority groups. By joining the CISC, Washington aims to be closer to the international student community in the College of Education and Human Development.
