My thoughts on the AAP is that it’s Delaware’s best kept secret. The program has grown, from what it was from when I started. When we started there were about only 4 full time faculty. But I think that in order for the program to grow, we need to not just reach the potential students, who we need to reach are the guidance counselors in the high schools. I’ve observed over the years, the high school guidance counselors do not advise their students to come to this program. If someone came to you and said ‘Hey! Do you want to go to college for 2 years for free and get University of Delaware credits?’ What would you say? ‘Uh yeah!’ It’s like a no brainer. I think every Delaware student would be in and apply to this program if they knew about it. But I do think it's the best kept secret and I’ve felt that since I started teaching here. I’ve enjoyed teaching here.
My greatest accomplishment would be raising my three kids. I would also say day to day maintaining my property and our house.
The most important people in my life are my husband, my children, and grandchildren. I love them the most. They are my legacy, my future.
