Exchange/Visiting students are automatically enrolled in the UC Student Health Insurance Plan (UC SHIP), with costs differing each quarter. Students can apply for a waiver by providing evidence of other qualifying health insurance, subject to approval by the UC Santa Cruz Health Center. More info on health resources at UCSC can be found from UCSC Physics GradWiki-health & Care.
All new exchange/visiting students must meet the UC Immunization Policy by submitting proof of required vaccinations, such as COVID-19 and flu shots, and completing a TB risk assessment before beginning classes. Please visit Student Health Center-Immunization for more info.
