Claiming your CruzID Account
Applicants use CruzID Manager to claim their UCSC campus CruzID account and set their CruzID Gold Password. CruzID Manager is an application that provides authentication and password services for many campus systems, including MyUCSC, Canvas, Slug Success, Campus Housing, University Dining and UCSC email. Once the CruzID account has been claimed, the user may log in to MyUCSC using their CruzID.
New applicants to UCSC are sent a welcome letter that includes instructions on how to claim their CruzID and log in to MyUCSC.
UCSC Email Account
Students log in to CruzID Manager to set their CruzID Blue password, which activates their email account. Official email correspondence from instructors and the campus are sent to the student's UCSC Email account.
YOU MUST CHECK YOUR UCSC EMAIL ADDRESS ON A REGULAR BASIS AS THIS IS WHERE ALL OFFICIAL UNIVERSITY COMMUNICATIONS WILL BE SENT
HR On-Boarding
The Graduate Program Coordinator will set up a time with PBSci HR in order to complete your HR On-Boarding.
Office
The Department of Physics will assign you an office. You will likely have your own desk, but you will be sharing your office space with several other graduate students.
Keys
Incoming graduate students can expect that the Graduate Coorindator will request keys on their behalf. For continuting students, keys may be requsted via the key check out system here: https://pbsbo.ucsc.edu/facilities/security/index.html
Information for information fields on request form:
Supervisor: Amy DeArmond Radovan (aradovan)
Keys: Enter your office number, with the building name first. For instance, "NS2 328" or "ISB entry" or "Thimann 343" etc.
Note: If you are requesting ISB 262 266 292 then these keys are on the ISB Grad Master (please do not select the faculty master).
Example outlined below.
You will also need access to the building. If you type "ISB Entry" then the proper key will show up.

For those of you who are TA-ing this year, you can print instructional material from our physics copier. We try to keep copier costs down so please keep in mind the following things:
1. Use copier for instructional purposes only
2. Double sided if possible to save paper
If you need more than 100 copies please use campus Copy Center services instead (see directions below).
USING THE PHYSICS ISB 232 COPIER:
If you want to be directly added to the physics copier, (you can use the scan function this way) follow these directions. To be added to the physics copier, simply send an email to the copier program (copierprogram@ucsc.edu) and include the following details:
