UCM Email

It is required for all faculty, including adjuncts, to regularly monitor their UCM e-mail account. The university email system is a Gmail system through Google. University email accounts/passwords are set up through the Office of Technology. Your User ID and password will be sent to you from the Office of Technology using the personal email address you used when you applied.

Maintenance for email and computer problems is through the Office of Technology, Technology Support Center (TSC) by phone at 660-543-4357 or by email to tsc@ucmo.edu.

Logging In

UCM email is now part of UCM's Single Sign-on. You can find more information about this on their web page using the button to the right.

For questions about logging into any UCM site or system, please contact the Office of Technology at 660-543-4357 or tsc@ucmo.edu. Have your 700 number handy.

Required for Student Communication

UCM uses the Google Apps suite for its online communications platform. This is the official method for University-related communication. While you may occasionally receive messages from students' personal email addresses (and you can certainly reply to these), you should always encourage your students to use their official UCM email addresses for any correspondence with you. This is the ONLY email address that Blackboard uses so any announcements you send to the class as a whole will only go to your students' UCM email addresses.

UCM Updates and Reminders

In addition to student communication, UCM will distribute bulletins and reminders to official faculty/staff email accounts and this is the primary email address that administrative offices will use to reach you. It is a good idea to develop the habit of checking this account regularly. If you need help with forwarding your UCM emails to your personal or another work account, the Office of Technology can assist with this, depending on the email platform your other account uses (some won’t accept the UCM Gmail forward).
