In this introductory unit, students will learn about Computer Science and begin to explore the Scratch programming platform. Students will discuss the role of technology in their lives and the importance of growth mindset as they enter an exploratory way of learning.
Students will learn about Computer Science and will be introduced to the Scratch programming platform.
Students act out the interaction between sprites, scripts, and code blocks with this unplugged activity.
Students will be introduced to the TIPP & SEE framework and explore a Scratch Project called Scavenger Hunt.
Students will understand the importance of growth mindset and reflect on their own mindfulness goals for when they create magnificent things in Scratch!
