While researching this topic has opened a lot of personal wounds, I believe this is a topic many of us can relate to. This research article is dedicated to my fellow first generation Latinx college students that at times ask themselves why they feel like they don't belong or feel guilty about whether they deserve amazing new opportunities like attending universities like UC Davis. News flash, you do! Your parents are proud of you and so am I!

This is my first research article and the overall process was challenging. I would say that the most difficult part was putting my thoughts on paper. Imposter syndrome is something I have dealt with and could write countless papers about but it is important to know that not everyone handles it the same. Writing this article taught me how to efficiently form ideas and arguments with my survey findings. I personally hate reading anything but the resources provided by Professor Sims made the overall process easier and they were fun to read. Overall research is very time consuming but the satisfaction of seeing all your work put together and ready to be shared among everyone makes everything worth it. Thank you so much for being a part of this process with me and I hope my research article teaches you something new :)
