Resident lockers with combination locks are located at 2G2.06 (beside the Dvorkin Videoconferencing Room) and are assigned at the start of the year. The locker room is also keycard coded as we share this space with the Surgery residents. This space is not common space for off-service residents however.
The locker assignments with combinations are forwarded to each resident via e-mail. It is a requirement that you use the lock provided. In the event that you have not received a locker or mail slot assignment, please contact cimtwo@ualberta.ca.
You are also assigned a mailbox (on the right side of the entrance). You’ll occasionally receive mail from the department, so please check it periodically. An assignment list for the mailboxes is posted at the entrance of the locker room.
The CIM resident lounge is located in WMC 2G2.01 (at the top of the escalators) and is keycard protected for CIM residents only. This space is a place for us to work, relax and store belongings. The lounge has:
Computers (login/password: cimres/cimres) and printers for academic/clinical use
Television and couches
A refrigerator and microwave (please keep them clean!)
In the event that your access card does not give you access to the lounge and locker/ mail room, please proceed directly to PROTECTIVE SERVICES, 0H1.15, Mon - Fri, 0730 -1130 and 1230- 1530.
The CIM Lounge is a shared space. Everyone needs to do their part to help keep it clean. Some areas, however, will require a little extra attention. The residents on the Hematology Consult service are expected to lend a hand to help ensure that the lounge remains a clean, safe, and welcoming space.
If the area requires urgent attention (large spill, overflowing garbage, etc.), please contact Facilities Maintenance & Services at 780-407-8472.
For your request description, a unit and nearest room number is required on all request along with a detailed description of the work requested.
If there are concerns with the computers or phone lines, please forward these along to the IT Service Desk at 780-735-4357.
If there are concerns regarding unauthorized access to the lounge or issues with swipe access, please alert the Security Office at 780-407-8347.
For all other concerns, please email us at cimldres@ualberta.ca.
Thank you for helping out and making the lounge a safe, clean, and welcoming space!
