My hometown is Medicine Hat, AB and I just bought a home in St. Paul AB to be closer to my partner's work. I split my time between Edmonton and St. Paul and so I get to enjoy benefits of both rural and urban areas! I have two yorkies named Winnie and George and several nieces and nephews who bring me so much joy!
In my spare time, I love watching reality TV shows like the Real Housewives franchises, 90 Day Fiance, and Selling Sunset.
I have been privileged enough to be able to work on several different types of research projects during my time in the ACCERT lab, and through those experiences I have come to realize my passion for community-based research. I enjoy working alongside community partners throughout the research process to ensure that our work is meaningful and practical for them. I also enjoy working with marginalized populations, including individuals with FASD. I have worked on several projects related to FASD, including housing, self-regulation, and employment.
