When I am not at work you can usually find me spending time with friends and family - doing an escape room or going to one of Edmonton's many festivals. My fiance and I have a dachshund cross named Rosie, who is very spoiled. I also enjoy playing video games, watching musicals, and anything Disney Parks. I grew up in the Peace Country and try to get back there when I can!
One of my favourite parts about grad school is having the opportunity to get involved in a variety of research projects. I have a wide range of research interests that revolve around leveraging strengths, supporting individuals put at risk, and understanding factors that impact emerging mental health.
To me, being part of ACCERT means having the space to learn and grow while building each other up and working to create positive change. It is a supportive and collaborative environment where I have gained to confidence to continue to challenge myself. As a lab team, we help each other out, cheer on each other's accomplishments, and work together on projects that support the wellbeing of children, youth, and families.
