COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course addresses advanced topics in Civil Procedure that cannot be addressed in the introductory civil procedure course. Topics will include the jurisdiction of various judicial actors, issues of standing, ripeness, and mootness, and how to address problematic litigants. Method of evaluation will primarily be written argument for an appeal on a civil procedure issue. This will be complemented by oral argument, two short written reflections, and participation in seminar discussions.
