Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year!
WELCOME TO 2ND GRADE
My name is Mrs. Black and I'm so excited to have you in my class this year! Our classroom is room 138 and I am looking forward to welcoming you into our class! This is my fourth year working here at The Villages Charter School. I got married last school year to my amazing husband, Corey. We were able to spend some time in Ireland this summer for our honeymoon and loved every bit of it! I can't wait to start the 2026-2027 school year!

Dear Families and Students,
We will be having snack every morning, please remember to be sending your child with one healthy snack each day! Please check your child's folder and initial their agenda every night and send them back to school every morning.
Reading: This week in Reading we will focus on the following skills:
Comprehension Strategy: Central idea & relevant details, text features
Phonics: UFLI Lessons 62&63
Math: This week in Math we will be learning about related facts.
Science: This week in Science we will be learning about rocks and minerals.
Social Studies: This week in Social Studies we will continue to learn about citizenship and patriotism.
