Modern History offers students an insight into the world that we live in by explaining the events, the people and forces that created it.
The topics that we study are all relevant to the world we live in today.
We learn about past cultures that have influenced our present without even leaving the room.
The resources we studied are varied and suit the needs of all learning styles. There are a numbers of films and documentaries to support the topics we study. The media is also used to inform us about our world and to demonstrate the effects of the past on our present reality.

As time moves forward you will see history repeat itself over and over again. You will witness lies told by world leaders, you will see laws chand and you will see the media ignoring all of this! You will say "I've seen this before!".
The content you will learn will serve as a reminder to question decisions made by world leaders and to stand up for those whose voices have become oppressed. Education is not memorising that Hitler killed 6 million Jews. Education is understanding how millions of ordinary Germans were convinced that it was required. Education is learning how to spot the signs of history, repeating itself.
When the world feels dark and the news and media are continually telling us what is wrong with the world, History reminds us that despite all the evil, horrible injustice that occurs, there is also good in the world! The power of one person can change the course of many...
