This year we will be doing a class service project. Our service project organization will be The Ronald McDonald House. The Ronald McDonald House provides a home-away-from-home to families of seriously ill children and support to organizations that serve the needs of children. Throughout the year we will be doing different projects to take to the house. Along with these projects we will be collecting can tabs and taking them to the Ronald McDonald House and doing a tour at the end of the school year so that the class can see what all of their hard work goes to. I feel that this is a wonderful thing for the kids to do in order for them to see how they can make a difference in so many lives. We will have a bucket in our room to collect tabs all year long. As the bucket gets full we will weigh them and put them in bags to take to the Ronald McDonald House this spring.

They also take old keys that no one is using anymore. They need to be separate from the can tabs and we will have a separate container for the keys.
