Information

Trinity Lutheran Church and School is located in a village/rural setting. This congregation is the only church in the community. The county is primarily Roman Catholic, but in a thirty mile radius there are 10 LCMS churches and five Lutheran elementary schools. Occupations include agricultural, state employment, college, manufacturing and health care.

Hoffman is a village of approximately 500 people. Approximately 44% of the population are members of the Church. In an outreach effort it was found that a number of the population are unchurched. The school could be a better outreach in the immediate community as well as surrounding towns, including Carlyle, Ferrin, Huey, Posey, and Shattuc. Christ Our Rock Lutheran High School is seven miles to the east and is a growing school.

The school has six classrooms, library, cafeteria, gym, two offices and a kitchen. Recent addition off of the gym has a music room and youth group room. The school is air conditioned, has wi-fi access throughout, and has a recent new security camera system. On average, we serve 60 to 70 students preschool through 8th grade.

Carlyle Lake is within 10 miles and many camping facilities are available. Two hospitals are within 15 miles of the Church and School. Hoffman has a bank, two gas stations, a grocery store, post office, and other small businesses. Kaskaskia Community College is located 7 miles from the Church and School, across the road from Christ Our Rock Lutheran High School.
