averi jefferson

Full Name: Averi Jefferson

Parents: Megan and Landon Preston & Brad & Carrie Jefferson

Siblings: Logan (23), Collin (22), Jadynn (18), Mason (16), Essex (10), Laynie (10)

Parent/Sibling Trait that you Admire: I admire how much they love and support me. Especially through all of my indecisive decisions, that are constantly changing everyday. I don’t know where I would be without them.

When I was young, I envisioned myself to be: I envisioned myself to be everything. I really always wanted to be a surgeon.

Future Plans: Currently undecided, but as of right now I plan to continue my education at Iowa Western and earn my associates in General Studies. From there I’m not quite sure yet.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years: I hope to have found a career that I love. I hope to have been able to travel for awhile within those 10 years and then choose to settle somewhere and have my own home.

What is your most memorable moment from school years at Treynor: There’s so many memorable moments I’ve had from funny ones, to sentimental ones. They all are important. I think the most memorable would be my last appearance at State Dance Championships. I told myself I definitely wouldn’t get emotional and would NOT cry. I in fact did cry everyday we were there and Ava K did take advantage to get an amazing picture of my ugly cry. I will always be thankful for that!

What extra-curricular activities were you involved in at Treynor? My senior year I was involved in NHS, dance, cheer, band, and can’t forget about football managing. Throughout my entire time at Treynor I did a little bit of everything from choir, volleyball, to basketball, and track.

If you have a day without commitments, what would you most likely be doing? I am going to sleep in and I will do absolutely nothing but lay down and have a movie marathon. I would get take-out, because I don’t want to cook, and I would get all the sweets and junk that I don’t really need.

What are some of your favorites (e.g. books, movies, foods)? I love sushi. I also love any meal that my mom cooks. One of my top favorite movies is 10 Things I Hate About You. Lastly, Stitch is my all time favorite Disney character. It’s so hard just to pick one favorite for anything!

What will you miss the most about THS? I will miss the comforting feeling of high school. All my friends and all of my days were spent here. I’ve never known anything else in my life and it’s sounds so scary but exciting too. Overall I will miss all the people, relationships, and atmosphere that High School has given me.

What advice would you give underclassmen? My best advice would be that your 100% might only look like 10% some days and that is more than okay. You don’t have to feel guilty about it, just give yourself the care you need and then get back into your daily routine. Be proud of the small accomplishments!
