Full Name: Amelia Lily Hedrick

Nickname: Mia

Parents: Mike & Norene Hedrick

Siblings: Alaina (25) & Keagan (25)

Parent/Sibling Trait that you Admire: I admire their selflessness and strength. Everyone in my family has always been kind to others and have taught me to do the same. They all work very hard and are always there for me when I need them.

When I was young, I envisioned myself to be: Working in the medical field. A vet when I was really young.

Future Plans: I plan to attend Iowa State and will soon decide on a major.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years: In 10 years I will hopefully have a good family with a good place to live. I would love to have a career in medicine and have traveled around a bit.

What is your most memorable moment from school years at Treynor: I have so many memories that I could choose from, but our Treynor home track meet my sophomore year definitely sticks out. One of my races that day was the final race, the 4x4. At the time I wasn't used to running 400s and we were close with Underwood for points, but we ended up winning the meet! I still have a picture of all of the track girls cheering when we were announced as first. I can't wait for my last season of track!

What extra-curricular activities were you involved in at Treynor? Over the years I have been involved in volleyball, track and field, softball, dance team, NHS, musical, JOI club, large group speech, and KKAD25.

If you have a day without commitments, what would you most likely be doing? I would love to sleep in and relax at home or be with friends.

What are some of your favorites (e.g. books, movies, foods)? My favorite food would definitely be cheeseburgers and a favorite hobby would be reading. My favorite sport is volleyball and my favorite drink other than water is Dr. Pepper. My favorite color is blue and my favorite season is fall.

What will you miss the most about THS? I will miss my personal connection with the school staff and the opportunities that I was given being at a smaller school.

What advice would you give underclassmen? Push yourself to try things outside of your comfort zone, you never know what hidden talents you might have. Be inclusive of others and enjoy every moment that you can, even the small ones. High school goes by fast!
