Pluck a Dandelion
Pluck a dandelion
from its home,
away from its
lengthy, leafy strife.
Grasp a dandelion
like a match,
its fluffy flame
a firework of life in stasis.
Suddenly, the flame is snuffed,
as a gust scatters
a lifetime of creation.
The embers surf
above the urban sprawl,
and lay seeds upon an ardent landscape.
Grant a dandelion
your presence,
for its glow
is a transitory one.
