History

The Pebsham curriculum is centred around three historical concepts:

These concepts are developed through a progressive teaching sequence of components of study which build historical knowledge of people, events, chronology and historical terms.

Alongside this core knowledge children learn about the big ideas and processes of history through enquiry, using evidence and communicating ideas. 

Underpinning our historical enquiry are the key concepts of: continuity and change; cause and consequence; similarity and difference; significance and perspectives. These are developed through regular re-visiting in a range of historical contexts.
