The Proposal

The Admission Authority proposes the changes detailed below to the policy. Please note that the Academy admissions arrangements may look different as they have been updated to a new Admission Authority template, and there has been some rewording which does not affect the content of the policy, or to comply with requirements of the Admissions Code.

  1. One of our oversubscription criteria has been removed on the advice of Stone King we NO LONGER INLCUDE ‘Children who have siblings attending OVPA Nursery (Children are siblings if they are full, half, adoptive or foster brother or sister living in the same household who will be attending OVPA Nursery School at the date of the applicant’s entry to Ore Village Primary Academy in Years R – 6 of the school)’

  1. Our last oversubscription criteria was previously - Other children. For clarity this has been updated to: ‘3. Distance. We use the distance between the child’s permanent home address and the front gates of the school, measured in a straight-line using Ordnance Survey address point data. Priority will be given to children living closest to the school’.
