BRAINSTORM

Create a brainstorm or mind map of your favourite ideas and artists – write down or sketch possible ideas and directions your theme could go in.

Include :

• lists of possible subject matter

• pictorial/ compositional elements you might focus on

• techniques you might use

• Artist examples.

This must be uploaded to your slide document. You can include notes, diagrams, drawings, or sketches.

In consultation with your teacher fill out theme planning chart/s and choose the best theme to proceed with.

PRACTICAL SESSION: Try take some quick sequence shots based on your best 3 ideas. These should be like photographic sketches and not very well planned, be spontaneous. Lay out the best shots as sequences in your slide doc, title them "sketching out ideas".
