Google Sites: From Megan Zara

Be sure you publish your site as “public” and make all the documents you are using on your site public.

IF you don’t do this your parents won’t be able to see those documents, they will get a permissions error.

  • ANY file you want to put on your site should be uploaded to your Site Document folder in Google Drive. Please don’t add attachments that parents/students need to download in order to open. This is an access issue. Most parents will access your site from their phone. If the items you are sharing are located in your Google drive and linked or embedded, they will not have to go searching for where ever the download ends up on their device.

Create a folder in your Google Drive for your Site Documents.

Change the share settings on that folder to Anyone with the link can view,

So that parents can see those embedded documents.

Double check that your site is published publicly to the web so that parents can access it.
