Hector
This week (and up through spring break) in virtual room #101 we are learning about Ireland, Irish culture, playing Irish folk music, folklore, leprechauns, and of course, celebrating St. Patrick's Day. Being from Chicago I know that EVERYONE is Irish on one day per year. Even Hector. Especially Hector! We had a blast on Zoom tonight. Thought I'd share.... -Bob Chochola, Teacher
Julio
Julio was laying on his tummy on a wedge during a live Zoom session with his teachers and therapists. Julio’s mom was using light-up and noisy toys to help him visually attend to the toys and practice lifting his head.

This family picture was sent in by Hector's mom. Mom, grandma and the whole family enjoyed the holiday festivities!

"I love to host music class. Once I observed how well Hector reacted and responded to music, I was inspired to implement more music into my daily routines. I already used some music, but Hector's perpetually engaged state helped me to understand that it was most likely effective for a much wider range of my students - if not all of my students. In addition to visual, tactile, and other sensory cues, I now incorporate specific music cues to guide my students through all of their daily activities. The auditory stimulation gives my program energy and direction and we also enjoy it very much." -Bob Chochola
