Our 2023 Canned Food Drive was a successful one!

Jo Kelly School donated 1267 non-perishable food items to the Tarrant Area Food Bank. That is over 970 pounds of food for our community!

Jo Kelly School collected 1282 cans and non-perishable food items for The Tarrant Area Food Bank!

Jo Kelly School staff loads the food into cars to bring to the food bank

When we got there we were greeted by food bank staffers who helped unload the cans into huge bins. Our donated items almost filled two complete bins. The food was then weighed and it was over 1300 pounds of food!

Jo Kelly School would like to thank all of our families, staff, itinerant staff, private duty nurses, bus staffers and guests who participated in this event.

Thank You!

Tarrant Area Food Bank was founded in 1982 by a group of Fort Worth residents concerned about hunger in their community. It is now the primary source of donated food for hunger-relief charities and feeding programs in Tarrant and 12 surrounding counties, serving 1,000,000 meals each week.
