One of the most important things you can do when you're writing a long essay or extended response on the GED test is remember to use transition words.
I think of transition words like bridges that connect idea to idea.
Some transition words are conjunctions (and, or, but, so, because, if, when...). We've already studied those.
The transition words I want to focus on this week are the ones that connect sentences and paragraphs.
The good news is that you probably already know most or all of these words. We just need to practice using them intentionally in our writing.
Check out these videos. You DON'T need to memorize all of the transition words or their categories (addition, concession, etc...). That's not the important part. Just get an idea of what these words are and when we use them.
