I want to read a book with everyone over the next 8 weeks. This would be a lot easier if we were in face-to-face class, but I want to give it a shot.

The book we'll read is The House on Mango Street. It's a pretty famous book by an American author, Sandra Cisneros. The chapters are short, so we'll read a few every week.
Sandra Cisneros has written a lot of books, but The House on Mango Street is probably her most famous. It is popular with kids and adults, and is taught from elementary schools, to universities across the country. Sandra Cisneros writes mostly about Hispanic and Latinx life, but her books are for everyone.
I'll post the chapters here for you to read and listen to, but if you want a copy of the book, email me! I have a few copies that I can let students borrow.
