I hope you are all doing well. I apologize for not having a Technology Newsletter last week. I had a loss in my family due to COVID. As you wrap up your last lessons for the year I would like to extend my gratitude to you all. Change is not easy and we have all experienced a rapid change in our use of technology to support and enhance instruction. We were forced to jump all in regardless of our comfort zones. We honestly didn't have a choice in the matter. We had to all innovate. This forced innovation has removed us from our silos and maximized collaboration. Thank you for your growth, honest feedback, and vulnerability during this time. And thank you for always doing "whatever it takes" for your students!

Technology Updates to share- GoGuardian
GoGuardian Teacher- coming soon with our 1:1 chromebook deployment. Check it out!
Go Guardian is the filter we have and will be providing to be CIPA (Children internet protection act) compliant with remote learning devices.
Edlio will be the platform for our new website that is coming soon! Teachers and staff will be able to gain access to create a teacher webpage. Log in info will be shared next week. We will have an improved staff directory, teacher webpages, and a way for families to subscribe to your teacher pages for updates if you choose.
Our district will be going 1:1 which means all students will get a device before the start of the next school year. This is a huge undertaking for our very small tech team. Students will be expected to keep their chromebooks in a protective case as shown in the video. (disclaimer: this video was not produced by our district. This is an example from another district.)
