Hello everyone!
I hope you had a chance to rest up this weekend! For those of you who may be feeling overwhelmed with technology and the various online applications that exist-try to to pause and take a breath. Give yourself a break because you are doing amazing!
I hope you don't mind that I am going to offer some unsolicited advice. Please indulge me for just one moment...During this time of remote learning it is important to have hard stops when working with technology. I suggest you must make a conscious decision to log off your computer, stop checking your email, and put down your phone so you don't keep checking your parent communication applications after a set time. Technology can make your eyes hurt, drain your energy, and suck you into working all night. I have a love-hate relationship with technology so I know from experience. Again you are all going above and beyond for your students. Thank you for all you do!
Please know the technology department is here to support you. We appreciate your patience when you send us emails for support because we also log off each evening and weekend to recharge. We monitor email Mon-Fri from 7am to 4pm each day.
Student and Family Expectations
You may have noticed the daily pop up message that serves as a reminder of student remote expectations when logging into Classlink. Additionally students have a notification reminder on their Launchpad dashboards with video conferencing expectations set by the district. Feel free to refer and review these expectations with students. They do appear in Classlink each time a student logs in. By logging in they are agreeing to follow these expectations.
