At TASIS England, we respect and accommodate the diverse religious and spiritual needs of our boarding students through:
Room allocations: Considering single-room allocations for students requiring private space for prayer, religious study or observance.
Religious worship: Facilitating visits to churches, mosques and temples, including adjustments to timetables for Friday prayers and religious festivals.
Prayer facilities: Providing access to a multi-faith prayer room and direct access to the neighbouring church, supported by a dedicated Orah pass.
Religious celebrations: Supporting students observing festivals such as Rosh Hashanah, with appropriate safeguarding arrangements for off-campus visits.
Dietary accommodations: Providing religious meals, including early breakfasts, iftar meals and dates during Ramadan.
Flexible routines: Allowing adjustments to study hall and boarding schedules for prayer, fasting and religious observance.
Personal expression: Encouraging students to express their faith through religious items and decorations in their rooms.
Wellbeing and reflection: Promoting mindfulness, meditative breathing, yoga and spiritual wellbeing through THRIVE.
Nature and calmness: Encouraging reflection and time away from screens through access to campus grounds, gardening activities and conservation projects such as building bird and bat boxes.
Individual support: Highlighting religious accommodations during induction and responding to individual requests throughout the year.
