SERVE: Community Service

Serve is a programme that offers service opportunities for our boarding students within their dorms, the wider school, and the local community. There are also opportunities to take part in national and international service initiatives.

Providing service to others aligns closely with the TASIS England mission, which emphasises nurturing service leadership, lifelong learning, and international mindedness. At its core, service encourages students to step beyond personal goals and develop empathy, compassion, and a commitment to the greater good – all key elements of service leadership in a global community.

By engaging in service opportunities, students embody the values of respect, responsibility, and care for others. Serve offers pathways for students to build connections with people from all walks of life.

The intercultural learning that takes place in "Serve My Country" and ‘Serve My World’ is an example of real-world experiences that help students understand diverse perspectives and address global challenges. 

In essence, service connects students to the school’s mission by inspiring them to flourish as compassionate, principled, and open-minded members of the dorm, school, local, national, and global communities.
