On the first day at TASIS England, the House Parents will welcome new boarders to their boarding house and show them their room. They will be introduced to the other new boarders so that they can start to make friends straight away. There will be a tour of the boarding houses and the campus so they can both become familiar. House rules and expectations will be explained to the new boarders, and any and all questions will be answered. Parents will be informed that their children have arrived and settled in. The House Parents will help all the boarders to start to feel that they are in a "home from home."
A thorough induction programme will be given to each and every new boarder over the first few days, which will help them to settle in and get to know their environment.
A detailed itinerary of the first week orientation programme will be provided closer to the start date, but will include tours, presentations, socials, and local excursions.
