TASIS is home to around 250 boarding students from all over the world. Boarders are accommodated across nine boarding houses.
Most boarding houses are situated on the south side of our beautiful campus, close to the lake, the dining hall, sporting facilities, health centre, and common areas.
All houses are clean, comfortable, and well-furnished. Bedrooms have wardrobes, study desks, and lockable areas.
The girls are housed in Cloisters, Tudor, Vic Mews 1, TP34, TP5
The boys are housed in Vicarage Mews 1, TP1/2, Vic Mews 2, Tower and Orchard Houses are allocated based on age and gender, with most boarders sharing bedrooms.
All houses have small kitchen areas to prepare light snacks, and students can utilise the Thorpe Place kitchen if they wish to cook larger meals.
All houses have access to laundry facilities on campus.
Roommates are assigned based on information included in applications for new boarders. We try to match interests whilst trying to mix nationalities. Returning boarders are able to request specific rooms/roommates ahead of the start of the school year.
Each boarding house has its own team of dedicated staff, led by a House Parent and a Deputy House Parent. One of these two dedicated staff members will be on duty at all times of day and night, so there is always an adult around. The House Parent is your first point of contact for any issues that you have at school regarding your child. They are fountains of knowledge and experience in themselves, and they will also know how to find the answer to any question you might have. Please let them know about anything that is relevant to boarding, such as travel times and dates, requests to leave campus at weekends, appointments, etc. They will also inform you of any issues relating to your child, be they academic or pastoral. Other matters can be directed to a specific area or person, but for most concerns, the House Parents will be able to deal with them.
Boarders have access to 24/7 medical care via our Health and Well-being Center. Security patrol the premises 24/7 and are aided by a network of CCTV.
