Make a Copy - do not Request Access!

MAKE A COPY

When a file is shared with you, there is chance that the permissions are set for you to VIEW the file, not actually have access to edit the file. If this is the case and you want to be able to edit the file to make it your own, then MAKE A COPY.

Do not request access to the file. Doing this will allow you to make changes to the original file, which the owner most probably does not want you to do!
