All school sites MUST KEEP their directory in place. Update the user profiles under constituent manager to help identify roles on campus.
Uploading an image to the profile is only allowable by the school's webmaster. It is recommended to use the school-issued photo taken by the hired photographers.
Best practice: It is a must to specify the job description of each staff member listed in your school directory (this includes administrators, school leaders, teachers, lunchroom staff, bus drivers, secretaries, paras, nurses, special services, counselors, ANYONE and EVERYONE who provides services to students on your campus). Adding details to the profiles will make for a more functionable directory.

Best practice: Connect your computer to your Google Drive for the easy upload of files!
Any resource you plan to add to the website should be first saved in your Google Drive as a back up. Do not use Finalsite Resources as your forever file cabinet! Only files which are currently posted on your website should be in your Finalsite Resources. Continuously purge old content from Finalsite. Use Google Drive as your permanent storage system.

Homepage Slider Template (1920px W x 713px H) - canva.com template
Use the template above from Canva.com to get just the right fit! Sign up to get a Canva Educators Account.
The Hero Slider makes the first impression for your site. Use only high quality, interesting, diverse, beautifully composed pictures.
Full-width slider images should be resized and cropped to be 1920 x 713px. If editing an image, please be sure to resize your image first to around 1920px wide, then crop the height of the image so that it is roughly 1000px tall. BeFunky.com may be a site to use to resize your images, or use the template I shared through Canva.com.
Best practice: The focal point of all images should always be in the center, as some cropping is bound to occur to accommodate for varying screen widths.

FOR EMPLOYEES: Connecting your School Finalsite Calendar to your Tangischools Google Calendar
Webmasters -
Your school Finalsite calendar can be a WONDERFUL tool for the faculty on your campus. The more events you add, the more purposeful the calendar becomes.
Add events, then share these directions on how to connect the calendar so that is shows up in their Tangischools Google Calendars.
Athletics events, parent-nights, school functions and assemblies... this will help them stay in-the-know with what is happening on your school campus.
