Welcome to Fifth Grade!

Being a fifth grader at Walt Whitman is a big responsibility! We hope this is a year each student will look back on fondly as they go through life.

Fifth graders are the biggest role models for the younger students here. They look up to you! We are 110% sure that you are up to the challenge. Expectations are high in our fifth grade classrooms. The key to our success is RESPECT. Respect to other students, teachers, the principal, parents and all others is expected at all times.

Fifth grade is a year full of changes, preparation, fun, and excitement. Working together with open lines of communication will help us succeed. As we begin this final year of elementary school, let us all make the commitment to work together to make this a SUPER year for the graduates.
