Candidate Observations of a Colleague
Candidates observe other colleagues of choice twice per year, once in Quarter 2 and once in Quarter 3. Candidates will use the Candidate Observation Form to document their notes. Once completed, candidates will complete the corresponding section in Part 4 (Professional Learning) of their ILP. Please also submit on the Candidate Submissions page of the Google Site.
Mentor Observations of a Candidate
Mentors observe each candidate twice per year, once in Quarter 2 and once in Quarter 3, using the Mentor Observation Form linked to the right. Candidates will complete a lesson plan template from the Lesson Plan Template Hyperdoc in preparation for the observation. Mentors upload the completed observation tool on the Mentor Submissions page using the Google Forms provided.
It is important to note that completion of the observation tool is a team effort:
Candidates complete Section 1 PRIOR to the observation.
Mentors complete Section 2 DURING the observation.
Mentors and Candidates complete Section 3 AFTER the observation.
