First grade students:
extendend the counting sequence and use place value understanding and properties of operations to add and subtract within (and beyond) 100;
compare numbers, understand the relationship between addition and subtraction, represent and solve problems involving addition and subtraction;
engage in measurement and data activities;
identify, describe, analyze, compare, create, and compose shapes (squares, circles, triangles, rectngles, hexagons, cubes, cones, cylinders, and spheres).
