Monday

Learning Target: I can make predictions about characters in the stories I read.

• Think about what I already know

• Find clues (read words and look at the pictures)

• Say what I think the character will say or do

Directions: Find a series book and make a prediction about one or more characters. If you haven't checked out EPIC books yet, now is a great time!:) . If you have extra time today, start writing a new series book my first creating a character who acts, fells, and speaks a certain way! You can use ideas from series books to help you get started.

Wednesday

Learning Target: I can use what a character says/thinks, does, or feels to write characteristics.

• Find what a character says, what a character does, and how a character feels

• Use a list of words that explain what type of character the mouse is

• Think about the difference between a feeling and a characteristic

Directions: Watch the video below and follow the learning targets. Remember that words that describe a character are called characteristics. Characteristics describe things about a character that will never change. How are characteristics different than feelings?
