Artist Statement:

For my art, I drew a baseball player with a tennis racket chasing a mouse up an anthill. I chose to draw this because I wanted to experiment with drawing different things. I hoped to make a drawing that shows different parts of nature, which is why I added the trees and the leaves. 

My work was made with graphite pencils. I used a variety of pencils when sketching and finalizing my drawing. I also used my finger for some shading. 

While making my art, I used some different reference points to try to draw more accurately. I used a picture of a mouse and a baseball jersey so I could more accurately draw those things and capture their essence. I also did a lot of revising so I could have my drawing look more how I wanted it to.
