surrealism collage

I decided to make a collage about the beach because corona might stop us from having a summer. I chose to use the label "beauty card" because I feel like a lot of people are shy at the beach. Everyone wants the perfect body that we see in magazines and if not we aren't "pretty". The sunglasses are a metaphor of hiding. I used the words "comunicación" because it means communication as in media communication, what the media tells us.

For the collage I used cutouts from a Vogue magazine and the beach on the background is a picture I took in Ibiza last year. For the painting I used coloring pencils, markers and a black sharpie to outline the glasses and the sun. First I painted the beach on the background. Then with markers I drew the sun. then i added the sunglasses, and lastly the words. I used a black sharpie to go over the glasses and the sun.
