Art history inspired

For my art history inspired proyect I chose Andy Warhol. He was an American artist and was leading the art movement known as pop art. I really like pop art because I like the way it plays with colors and shadows. The colors are bright and the imagery is recognizable. I like it because it is very different from everything else and its very cool. I think this style is more creative and fun. It gives you more perspectives because of the way color is chosen. Also it's very cool that most of the times the image is repeated multiple times because it looks like an organized collage.

For my project I was inspired by Andy Warhol's Marilyn Monroe. I liked the way he changed the colors in the different squares of the picture. I only did four squares and I chose a person I care about for the drawings. I used a lot of colors like yellow, bright pink, green, blue, orange and purple. The way I made this proyect wasI chose the picture of the person I wanted to draw and then used an app on my phone to design the proyect. Once I designed it I printed it and used the light table to trace it. After I traced it all I had to do was color it in. I think the most difficult part of the proyect wasthe design and because I wanted to do Pop Art I had to use a lot of bright colors and I had to chose where to put each color and whether or not it matched with the others.
